DESCRIPTION:November 8 – November 17\, 2024 \n\n\n\nPangea World Theater and Teatro del Pueblo are pleased to present Homo Dramaticus\, by Alberto Adellach\, a collection of three distinct short plays that delve into different aspects of the human condition: Children (Criaturas) examines the innocence and complexities of childhood through the eyes of its characters\, March (Marcha) is a surreal tragicomedy that serves as a cautionary tale of what could happen if we continue to dehumanize one another\, and Words (Palabras) which is an exploration of communication\, language\, and the power of words in shaping our realities. Homo Dramaticus will be performed at The Southern Theater from November 8th – November 17th. \n\n\n\nThe Homo Dramaticus ensemble includes Nate Kay\, José Sabillón in Children (Criaturas) directed by Sir Curtis Kirby III\, Paulina Aparicio\, Wasima Farah\, Sarah Furniss in March (Marcha) directed by Alberto Justiniano\, and Ernest Briggs* in Words (Palabras) directed by Meena Natarajan and Dipankar Mukherjee. \n\n\n\n* Actor Equity Association Membership \n\n\n\nTickets are avaible at Ticket Tailor.

DESCRIPTION:A development program focused on new works by emerging Latino artists. \n\n\n\n\n\nTeatro del Pueblo Visión-es is excited to present a work-in-progress showing of Los Profanadores de la Calle Arenas created and directed by Lelis Brito. Entirely in Spanish\, this event immerses guests in the narrative of a family of graverobbers living in a Caribbean cemetery fifty years in the future when the days are hotter\, water is scarcer and they are torn between what they desire and what the world wants for them. Experience song\, movement\, and some participation. As our guest\, be part of the initial creation through your attendance and feedback. Los Profanadores de la Calle Arenas will be performed at the Playwrights’ Center on December 14th at 7pm. \n\n\n\nThe cast includes Alejandra Iannone\, Alex Barreto Hathaway\, Alfonso Lichtenwalter\, Johanna Keller Flores\, José Sabillón\, Juan Fiz-Torezani\, Masanari Kawahara\, Mariadela Belle Alvarez\, Samuel Osborne-Huerta\, and Sheila Colmenares.
