An Immigrant Thanksgiving

Coco’s Latinidad is a live radio variety show intended to provide Latino artists and community members an opportunity to create culturally appealing content to showcase their unique voices and talent. This live radio broadcast includes live music, drama and humorous storytelling as well as a visual art exhibits of local artists. The content will fluctuate between Spanish and English, emphasizing on a bilingual experience.

Soma Mnemosine was a performance art piece collectively created and directed by Patricia Ariza that explored the dual manifestation of joy and pain in the humanbody which converges through the bodies of the actors during the party ambience and contextual violence rampant in Colombia today. With themes of recurring entry ways, inevitably arriving through different pathways: individual-personal-body and the social-body, both subjected to the violence but hopelessly seeking refuge inside the celebration as an act of defiance. Before Hamilton, there was In the Heights, the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood—a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams, and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions to take with you and which to leave behind.
