We believe that Theatre must be inclusive and equitable. Our productions reflect our diverse audience and artists, and continues to evolve taking performing arts beyond the stage.

Latino Asian Fusion Series

“The heart, vision, and truly inclusive nature of Isla Tuliro is a sign of companies who are leading the way to continue to diversify our stages and uplift exciting new narratives….” -Becki Iverson, Compendium Blogger

The Latino Asian Fusion Series is a collaboration with Pangea World Theater. The plays and associated events highlight the intersections, relationships, and influences between Latino and Asian cultures. The Latino Asian Fusion Series includes workshops, conversations, panel discussions, music, dining, dance parties, and other events, all culminating in new works and reflections by the playwrights in the series.

The latest production in the series was Isla Tuliro: Island of Confusion written by Marlina Gonzalez.  See our Performances page for more information.

A History of Collaborations

We uniquely and actively seek out collaborative relationships with other institutions and individuals that are committed to the same ideology of cultural fusion. With this in mind, we aim to broad our work in order to include pieces that represent the various cultural traditions of the people within our community. This allows us to better represent all the members of the community, while still focusing on our mission to promote and educate others about Latino culture. Our partners and collaborators in the many projects are:

  • The History Theatre
  • Ordway Performing Arts Center
  • Intermedia Arts
  • East Side Arts Council
